Cat. #001661413: SIDNEY LUMET

Quite uncommon black felt-tip marker signature on a 3x5-inch white card, dating to the early 1980s. In good condition and great for matting with a favorite photograph. Film director Sidney Lumet made one heck of a debut with Twelve Angry Men in 1957, which earned him his first Oscar nomination.  He went on to helm classic films like The Pawnbroker (1964), Fail-Safe (1964), The Group (1966), The Anderson Tapes (1971), Serpico (1973), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), Equus (1977), Network (1977), The Wiz (1978), Prince of the City (1981), and The Verdict (1982).  He snagged an Academy Award for Dog Day Afternoon (1975) in 1976, as well as an honorary trophy in 2005.
